In the accumulated result (from October 29th to November 30th), the CEPEA/ESALQ Indicator for type 6 Arabica, placed in the capital of São Paulo, increased 13,04%, closing at R$ 1.420,09/60 kg bag – it is worth remembering that , on Thursday, 25th, the CEPEA/ESALQ Indicator for Arabica type 6, posted in the capital of São Paulo, closed at R$ 1.466,92/bag of 60 kg, the highest real level since December 20, 1999 and a new nominal record from the Cepea historical series, started in 1996 (values deflated by the IGP-DI of Oct/21).
According to Cepea researchers, in addition to the rise in futures, national agents remain far away from the spot market, expecting even higher prices. In the last days of the month, specifically, the decline was linked to fears related to the appearance of a new variant of the coronavirus and its possible impact on global coffee demand.
