La Niña should impact commodity prices

The Association of Seed Producers of the Matopiba States – Aprosem, elected the new board of directors that will lead the entity in the 2026/27 biennium. Luiz Antônio de Oliveira, from the company Celeiro Sementes, remains at the head of the association, continuing the work of institutional strengthening, commitment to the development of the sector and representation of the members.
The new management team also includes the re-election of Celito Missio, from Sementes Oilema, who continues as vice-president and director of Institutional Relations. The administrative directorate will be led by Ricardo Teixeira, from Sementes Neovita, while the financial directorate remains with Antônio Assunção, from Cooproeste. The marketing directorate will be the responsibility of Priscilla Sanders, from Sementes Progresso, and the services directorate will be headed by Lucas Pinto, from Sementec.
Having worked in the sector for over three decades, Luiz emphasizes that the new administration's focus will continue to expand dialogue with public and private entities linked to agriculture, promoting the modernization of policies aimed at seed production and marketing, and strengthening legal security for investors in the seed business. Aprosem also intends to intensify communication and training initiatives, consolidating the entity's role as a regional and national reference, and will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2026.
With this new composition, Aprosem reaffirms its commitment to representing the seed sector of Matopiba, promoting innovation, competitiveness, and the sustainable development of regional agribusiness.
