The list of products that will receive the bonus from the Price Guarantee Program for Family Farming (PGPAF) is now available. The document was published in the Official Gazette this Friday (08/04). The list is updated monthly. The list comes into force on April 10th and is valid until May 9th. Açaí in Acre and Amapá were included, in addition to cocoa grown in Amazonas.

The National Supply Company (Conab) is the body responsible for calculating the subsidy. The bonus is offered by the federal government based on the average market value.

The list maintained the bonus in the case of bananas, in the states of Alagoas and Pernambuco, cowpeas in Amapá, Tocantins, Maranhão and Mato Grosso, jute/dolled mallow for Amazonas, and passion fruit in Ceará. On the other hand, bananas in the state of Ceará, and cowpeas and passion fruit, both in Bahia, no longer receive the bonus in April.

The biggest bonus granted was 31,55%, for passion fruit, in Ceará. The second biggest bonus was given to bananas, in Alagoas, with 28,17% and açaí, 25,85%, in Acre.

The farmer benefiting from the PGPAF uses the bonus as a discount on the financing installments of the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf).
