Analysts see uncertainty in the fertilizer situation

Rabobank study evaluates product deliveries, increase in planted area and European situation

Fertilizer deliveries are delayed in Brazil. And there is an estimated increase in planted area. Therefore, according to Rabobank analysts, "it is still too early to point out a very strong reduction in total consumption this year."

In the study, analysts point out that an increase in area and a reduction in nutrition could generate an unfavorable final result for producers, considering the current prices of commodities.

Furthermore, it remains to be seen how the crisis in Europe will influence the fertilizer market in the coming months. It "may bring restrictions to the nitrogen market and affect prices and imports of urea for the corn harvest", stated in the study, which can be seen at the link below.
