Amapá Expo Fair expected to generate R$600 million in revenue in 2025

The 54th Amapá Expo Fair will be held from August 30 to September 7, 2025, at the Fazendinha Exhibition Park in Macapá, AP, and promises to cement the state as a new frontier for the country's agroeconomic and sustainable development. Considered the largest green and sustainable business event in the Amazon, the fair brings together exhibitors from agribusiness, family farming, innovation, and culture in a nine-day program, all free of charge.

Expofeira is expected to generate up to R$600 million in business, attract more than 2,9 million visitors, and generate approximately 14 temporary jobs. Furthermore, the event coincides with a symbolic milestone for the Amapá economy: reaching the milestone of 100 formal jobs in the private sector.

For Governor Clécio Luís, the figures reflect not only the fair's grandeur, but also the state's current economic transformation. "The 54th Expofeira do Amapá not only boosts the economy and tourism, but also projects the state onto the global stage, in line with preparations for COP30, which will be held in the Brazilian Amazon in 2025. It is a space for business, culture, and dialogue that reaffirms Amapá's commitment to sustainable, innovative, and socially inclusive development," he explains.

ExpoAmazonia

One of the highlights of the event will be the 1st ExpoAmazônia, which will bring together initiatives in bioeconomy, sociobioeconomy, renewable energy, tourism, and clean technologies. The event is expected to boost access to green financing and expand opportunities for local entrepreneurs, including small producers with the Amapá Seal and participants in programs such as "My First Company."

The Amapá Startup Challenge 2025 was also launched, in partnership with Fapeap and Setec, which will reward innovative companies in the areas of bioeconomy and technology, encouraging creative regional solutions aligned with Amazonian challenges.

Furthermore, the Amapá Institute of Extension, Assistance and Rural Development (Rurap) has confirmed its participation in the 54th Expofeira, with a broad program aimed at strengthening family farming and sustainable extractivism.

Installed in a permanent space at the Fazendinha Exhibition Park, Rurap will offer workshops, courses, lectures, the issuance of the National Family Farming Card (CAF) and exhibitions that highlight the integration between rural production and environmental conservation.

Other highlights of the event include spaces for exhibiting and planting family-farmed vegetables, artisanal and sport fishing, irrigated fruit growing, and animal sales, among others.

Strengthening the sector

The 54th edition of the Amapá Expo Fair also represents an important strategy to strengthen the economic sector by fostering new businesses. To boost job and income generation, the State Government will be bringing various entrepreneurship support services to the Fazendinha Exhibition Park, including the guidelines for the Minha Primeira Empresa program, which will be presented to visitors. The Economic Development Agency (Agência Amapá) is responsible for coordinating public policy in partnership with the Amapá Development Agency (Afap), with support from the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae-AP).

By uniting tradition, business, innovation, and culture, Expofeira 2025 reinforces the importance of agribusiness and regional entrepreneurship as drivers of sustainable development. For the government and organizers, the event is consolidating itself as a showcase of opportunities capable of projecting Amapá onto the national stage, attracting investment and strengthening the economy based on modern and sustainable practices.
