Registration is now open for Agricultural Aviation Safety Week, a pioneering event that will be held from October 21 to 25 at the Abapa Training and Technology Center in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Bahia. Aimed at pilots working in the agricultural sector, the course's main objective is to promote safety in air operations and reduce accidents.

The initiative, organized by the Bahian Cotton Producers Association (Abapa), is a response to the growing demand for training and safety in the agricultural aviation sector, which is essential for the phytosanitary management of crops in the western region of Bahia. “The development of Brazilian agribusiness is directly linked to the work of the pilots of these aircraft, whose purpose is to protect and ensure correct phytosanitary management. Aware of its importance, Abapa, in partnership with several institutions, is bringing this innovative event that seeks flight safety and the well-being of pilots,” highlights Douglas Fernandes, manager of the Abapa Training Center.

The training is being held in partnership with Sabri - Sabedoria Agrícola, Aba Manutenção de Aeronaves, with the support of the Brazilian Cotton Institute (Iba) and Fundeagro. During the week, pilots will have access to technical content on aircraft operation, including predictive and preventive maintenance, manufacturer requirements, and the importance of using accredited workshops. Another focus will be the use of aerial application technologies, aiming to improve the quality of applications and increase aircraft performance, always with safety as a priority.

“This is the first event of its kind in western Bahia. The idea is to work with pilots on all aspects of their profession, including the physical and emotional aspects, creating a history of their profile to continue monitoring the safety and quality of professionals in the coming months,” explains Raphael Lemos, consultant at Sabri.

Places for Agricultural Aviation Safety Week are limited. For more information, interested parties can contact us by phone (77) 99829-9092 / (77) 3639-6832 or by email ct9@abapa.com.br
