Adama Institute turns 15

Recognized as an OSCIP – Civil Society Organization of Public Interest – the ADAMA Institute (read ADAMÁ) completes 15 years in 2022, accumulating more than 200 thousand consultations in the various workshops offered, such as Apprentice School, Dance School, Theater and Accounting School, Stories, Music School, Capoeira School and the Adolescer Program. O space, in the Rui Barbosa neighborhood, in Londrina (PR), also has a Toy library, distributed in three environments, such as Play Library, Scrap Library and “Little House of Imagination”, and works consolidated by the entity over the years last years. The structure also has a sports court for the School of Football, as well as a green area for recreation.

“The aim of the institute is to create opportunities for children and adolescents in vulnerable situations can develop through of cultural, sporting, social and pedagogical projects, as well as experiences practices in ADAMA itself, and conquer its space in society and in the work. Therefore, we care about each workshop and program we design for our audience and with every corner we have here in our space”, says Denise Caldeirão, coordinator of the institute, who has been with the organization since the beginning.

The work and positive results carried out by the institute are perceived in the various stories of people who were assisted. There have been since professionals who arrived as children, stayed at the ADAMA Institute for years and today occupy leadership positions in companies in another country, to young people who have become entrepreneurs and others who took the arts path and study arts scenic, for example. “We are very proud of everyone who comes through here and We are very happy to prove that our projects and initiatives contribute so that children and adolescents engaged in our activities have a life better and in a sustainable way”, declares Denise.

News for young people

In addition to all the programs and workshops that the institute promotes currently, there is still more to come. According to the coordinator, it should be launched a new program called Eureka aimed at teenagers aged 13 to 16, which aims to promote self-knowledge and, therefore, contribute to inclusion in job market through their inclusion in theater workshops, conversation about adolescence themes, as well as meetings for development of the “self”, relationships with others and the importance of work in a team.

“We noticed that one of the difficulties of this age group is get your first opportunity in the job market and we realize that a lot This is due to shyness, difficulties in relating to others and in position with your own ideas. The pandemic has certainly intensified this, since they were at home, without face-to-face classes and communicating only via screens and audios”, explains Denise. Still on paper, the project must be made viable in the second half of 2022.

With 20 years of history, it is an educational project professional training for young people aged 16 to 18. Annually the ADAMA Institute carries out the selection process to meet learning demands pointed out by ADAMA Brasil. The School’s project and methodology are based on SENAI and the Learning Law: the morning period is dedicated to training in classroom and, in the afternoon, students carry out professional practice in the various administrative areas of the company.
