Appointed by the Board of Directors of Adama Ltda. as President and CEO of Adama in October, Gaël Hili (pictured, right) made his first official visit to Brazil this month, marking the beginning of his global leadership. Based in Tel Aviv, Hili succeeds Steve Hawkins. During his stay, the new CEO highlighted the strategic role of Brazil and Latin America in the future of global agribusiness and reaffirmed Adama’s commitment to innovation and sustainable growth in the country.

During his visit to Brazil, Gaël visited Adama's innovation hub in Londrina (PR), where technological solutions are developed that combine science and sustainability to meet the needs of rural producers. The location is a reference in the creation of differentiated formulations, such as those that make up the company's portfolio, focused on adding value to Brazilian agriculture.

“We are committed to delivering innovative solutions that not only increase farmers’ productivity, but also contribute to a more sustainable future,” said the global CEO. He also highlighted Adama’s relevance as a strategic partner in national and global agriculture.

Visits to Embrapa and the production chain

One of the most memorable moments of the visit was the meeting at Embrapa, in Londrina, where Gaël discussed the importance of the institution for Brazilian and global agriculture. Recognized as a leading player in the development of technologies for tropical agriculture, Embrapa shared trends and advances that directly impact the competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness in the global market. “I was impressed by Embrapa’s transformative role in agriculture. Its contribution to the development of technologies that increase productivity and promote sustainability is fundamental for the future of agriculture,” he said.

The CEO also visited cooperatives, distributors and farmers, reinforcing Adama’s commitment to listening, understanding and delivering solutions that meet the real needs of the field. He also shared details about the pipeline of products that Adama will bring to the market in the coming years. Highlights include the fungicide Klinner, aimed at controlling soybean diseases; the herbicide Matero, developed for cotton; as well as Jumbo and Baltic, herbicides for sugarcane; and the insecticide Balavor, developed for the efficient management of the main soybean pests.
