The 15th Andav Congress officially begins on August 11th at 10:00 AM at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, bringing together authorities, agribusiness leaders, and representatives from the sector's main entities. Promoted by the National Association of Agricultural and Veterinary Input Distributors (Andav), the Congress takes place from August 11th to 13th, occupying over 24,000 square meters of exhibition space distributed across four pavilions, with an expected attendance of approximately 18,000 participants, more than 260 exhibiting brands, and over a thousand congress attendees in the plenary sessions.
The program will begin with a special performance by the Madrigal Orchestra, followed by the official opening ceremony, which will include the participation of Geraldo Melo, Secretary of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo; Marcos Chaves, President of the Board of Directors of Andav; Ingo Plöger, President of the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (Abag); Alexandre Alonso Alves, Director of Business and Technological Innovation at Embrapa; and Roberto Betancourt, Vice-President of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp). The presence of these leaders reinforces the institutional relevance of the Andav Congress as one of the main forums for discussion about the future of Brazilian agribusiness.
Immediately following the opening ceremony, at 10:45 AM, the panel "Brazilian Agroeconomy: Reflections for the Future – Trends and Opportunities" will take place, bringing together experts to discuss the challenges and perspectives of the agribusiness economy in the current national and international scenario. The panel will be moderated by Marcelo Prado, president of MPrado Consultoria, with the participation of Antonio Botelho, CEO of Agrológica; Tejon Megido, managing partner of Biomarketing; and Ingo Plöger, president of Abag.
The opening marks the beginning of three days of intense technical programming, bringing together some of the leading names in economics, politics, industry, and agricultural research. Throughout the Congress, participants will follow debates on credit, financial markets, innovation, leadership, people management, geopolitics, taxation, and prospects for Brazilian agribusiness, in addition to the release of the National Distribution Survey, one of the most anticipated moments of the program.
Established as the leading event for the distribution of agricultural inputs in Brazil, the Andav Congress strengthens its position as a strategic space for generating business, networking, and building solutions for the challenges of the distribution chain, connecting industry, distributors, cooperatives, researchers, rural producers, and public policy makers.
The first day's program continues in the afternoon with the panel "Bioenergy: Scenario and Opportunities for Agribusiness," at 14 PM, moderated by Marcos Fava, chancellor of the Harven Agribusiness School. The debate will bring together Janaína Lemes, Vice-President of Unibio-MT and leader of Biofuels at Caramuru, and João Marcelo Dumoncel, CEO of 3Tentos, to discuss the role of bioenergy in the competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness, advances in biofuel production, the energy transition, and new business opportunities for the sector.
Following that, at 15:15 PM, the Andav Recognition Award – Sector Advocacy Category will be presented to Samanta Pineda, a lawyer specializing in Socio-environmental Law, in recognition of her contribution to Brazilian agribusiness.
At 15:30 PM, economist Ricardo Amorim, president of Ricam Consultoria, will give a lecture entitled "Macroeconomic and Political Scenario: Reflections and Trends," providing an analysis of the economic outlook and the impacts of the political environment on agribusiness and investments in Brazil.
In addition to an intense program at the Plenary, which will continue over the next two days, visitors have the opportunity to visit the exhibition area until the end of the day, showcasing the main solutions and innovations offered to those working in the agricultural input distribution segment in Brazil. "We will have another edition of the Andav Congress with the certainty that dialogue between companies, entities, government, researchers, and producers is fundamental for strengthening the distribution of agricultural inputs and for the future of Brazilian agribusiness. Upon completing 15 editions, the Congress reaffirms its mission to connect people, promote knowledge, and stimulate innovation throughout the production chain," emphasizes Paulo Tiburcio, executive president of Andav.
