Baldan brings credit alternatives to Show Rural 2026
Producers can find barter agreements, consortiums, and financing through the Plano Safra program, in addition to extra incentives for purchases.
The Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industries (Abimaq) released the results of its members who participated in the Show Rural Coopavel 2026 and responded to the survey conducted by the organization during the fair. According to data from the Sectoral Chamber of Agricultural Machinery and Implements, purchase intentions registered at the event decreased by 15% compared to the previous edition.
According to the president of the Chamber, Pedro Estevão Bastos (pictured), the contraction was already expected by the industry. He states that the economic fundamentals supporting the demand for agricultural machinery have been deteriorating since the last quarter of 2025.
Among the main factors cited are the fall in commodity prices, especially soybeans and corn, reducing producer profitability; the appreciation of the real, with a negative impact on competitiveness; and interest rates considered unattractive for investments. This set of variables, according to Bastos, explains the reduction in demand observed at the end of last year and which continues into the beginning of 2026.
The organization emphasizes that the performance in purchase intentions is not related to the organization or attractiveness of the event. According to Abimaq's assessment, the fair maintained a high flow of visitors, good infrastructure, and a favorable environment for conducting business, reinforcing its role as one of the main events on the national agricultural calendar.
