34th Rural Show closes with R$3,2 billion in sales, the largest in its history

Dilvo Grolli presents the final numbers of the event, held from Monday to Friday, in Cascavel, in the west of Paraná

Even with the challenges and restrictions imposed by the pandemic, the Show Rural Coopavel achieved surprising numbers. The sales volume in just five days of the event, from February 7th to 11th, was R$3,2 billion, the highest in history, surpassing the result of February 2020, when sales reached the figure of R$2,7 .34 billion. The information was given by the president of Coopavel, Dilvo Grolli, this Friday afternoon at a press conference that marked the end of the XNUMXth edition.

The expected audience for the five days was 120 to 150 people, but ended with 285.212 and the number of exhibitors, projected at 400, reached 585. “We are very happy with the results. We took all the necessary measures and the public, interested in learning about the most different innovations for agriculture and livestock, attended and attended the event. I want to thank everyone and say that the next edition, from February 6th to 10th, 2023, will be even bigger”, said Dilvo Grolli, at Arena Paraná, during the final announcement of the winners of the Rural Digital Show Hackathon.

Hackathon

The technology marathon was one of the attractions of the Rural Digital Show, an environment that brings together some of the main protagonists of the technological revolution that has a significant impact on the lives of people, companies and agribusiness. Fifteen teams, totaling 80 participants, dedicated 52 hours of uninterrupted work to solve real problems faced by agribusiness. “And the quality of what was seen was surprising, demonstrating the capacity of people connected to this new universe”, says the SRD coordinator, José Rodrigues da Costa Neto.

The winners of the marathon are: 1st place SysAgro, which won a prize of R$ 20 thousand; in 2nd place was Gaia, with R$ 10 thousand, and in third place was Sensor 5, with a prize of R$ 5 thousand. Furthermore, participating teams will have the chance to benefit from monitoring and follow-up in innovation structures maintained by Coopavel's partners at the Rural Digital Show. “We are very happy with everything that happened this week. We thank everyone who collaborated so that this event, despite the enormous challenges encountered, was carried out and became a great success”, highlighted the general coordinator of the Show Rural Coopavel, Rogério Rizzardi.
