Weather

This Thursday (29), due to a humidity corridor positioned over the South of Brazil, the weather becomes more closed and with the possibility of rain showers at any time of the day in most of the producing regions of Santa Catarina, Paraná , Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso. The instability in the South Region has somewhat hampered the full progress of the harvests, but so far, nothing that has caused losses to producers.

In Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, the rains are keeping the soil at good levels of moisture, favoring the development of 2nd harvest crops. Due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ZCIT), rain is also forecast in a large part of the northern range of the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia.

In a large part of the Southeast Region, Goiás, western Bahia, southern Tocantins and southern Piauí, Thursday (29) will be open weather, high temperatures and the possibility of occasional isolated showers in the late afternoon. Even with the absence of rain in other regions, there is still no sign of reductions in the productive potential of crops.

Trend for the next few days

The next 5 days should maintain the meteorological pattern of more concentrated rain over the west and south of Brazil, while a large part of the producing regions of the Southeast, Center-West, Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia will continue with more open weather and possibilities possible irregular rain showers.

From the middle of next week onwards, rain returns more broadly over the areas producing coffee, sugar cane, corn, cotton and beans. The outlook for the first half of April is that it will continue to be marked by rain, an irregular time, a more comprehensive time. Even so, the instability will have a sufficient pattern and volume so that the soils have reasonable levels of humidity, maintaining very satisfactory conditions for the development of 1nd harvest crops.

As there is no indication that wintering will occur in the next 15 days, the sugar cane harvest, which begins in the next few days throughout the Center-South region, should not suffer any major disruptions, just possible momentary stoppages, something very common for this season. of the year.
