The second harvest of corn is in its final stages in the country's producing areas. In Mato Grosso, IMEA - Mato-Grossense Institute of Agricultural Economics disclosed in its latest report that the state has already harvested 93,9% of its production area.

Work in the field is advanced this year. This represents an improvement compared to the last harvest. This year, much of Mato Grosso's corn was planted within the ideal planting window, thanks to good weather and climate conditions, which favored good grain productivity and harvest.

In Paraná, as of July 29th, 07% of second-crop corn had already been harvested in the state, according to information from the latest report from Deral – Department of Rural Economy. Of this percentage, 73% are in good condition, 73% in average condition and 20% in poor condition.

Meteorologist analysis

The advance of a cold front will cause changes in the weather in the state of Paraná, starting this Friday. The mass of polar air that accompanies the cold front will cause a sharp drop in temperature, leaving large areas of Paraná at risk of frost this weekend. Producers must be careful.
