Fenasucro & Agrocana is the stage for transformations and innovations in the bioenergy sector. For this reason, it attracts visiting buyers from Brazil and 23 other countries, who find products, innovations, technologies and trends in the sector at the fair, guided by sustainability and a cleaner and more efficient future.
As it is a platform for alternatives and solutions, each year, the fair attracts a more specialized and qualified audience. Proof of this is that the 2022 edition had a 15% increase in the projected number of visitors.
“This increase mainly reflects the support of the most qualified public, made up of senior executives from all links in the bioenergy production chain who come to Fenasucro & Agrocana to do business, network and consume extremely relevant content”, says Paulo Montabone, director of the fair.
According to the organization of the event, the final balance of the 28th edition should be released by next Tuesday, the 23rd, after the analysis of the results has been completed. However, it already brings significant numbers in relation to international business rounds, carried out by Apla (Local Alcohol Production Arrangement) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency), through the Brazil Sugarcane Bioenergy Solution Project.
The business meeting was part of the parallel program of the International Bioenergy Fair and attracted 48 Brazilian supplier companies and 20 international purchasing companies from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay.
In total, more than 460 business meetings were held, generating a forecast of transactions of around US$70 million (approximately R$362 million), which could be closed in six months.
“The business rounds were fantastic in this post-pandemic recovery. We received more than 50 international guests, a significant increase compared to the last edition in 2019, with this year's focus being Latin America. This year, we held more than 140 meetings per day, generating excellent business expectations. Without a doubt, the 2022 edition was a success”, says Flávio Castellari, executive director of Apla.
The content events of the 28th edition of the Fair concluded with the meeting held by LIDE Mulher, at the Fenasucro Auditorium. The debate involved the panorama of the business scenario, pointing out women who stand out in business.
One of the speakers, Teresa Vendramini, had to show competence until she became president of the Brazilian Rural Society. And, daily, she experiences the persistence of needing to prove that she knows what she wants. As she herself says, “Women not only need to know, they have to prove that they know”. And thus, she became the first woman to have decision-making power in the entity's 104 years.
Gabriela Manssur, who is the Founder of the Instituto Justiça de Saia, agrees, adding the maxim: “A woman's place is wherever she wants” and states that women need to help each other. “If I have my freedom, it is not complete if you do not have yours,” she said.
Therefore, he felt it was necessary to go a step further and create a protection network when he worked in the Public Ministry to help women victims of violence, becoming one of the most active voices and a national reference on the subject.
The event was mediated by the director of the Viralcool group, Claudia Toniello, who recalled the need for equality in the job market to promote quality. “Agriculture needs more representation. This is one of the 17 UN objectives to make the world better and is also part of the ESG concept”, she pointed out.
“Every day we learn more. That’s why LIDE Mulher is a representative movement”, commented the president of LIDE Ribeirão Preto, Fábio Fernandes.
In 2023, Fenasucro & Agrocana will be held between the 15th and 18th of August, in Sertãozinho. The event is held by CEISE Br and promoted and organized by RX Brasil. It is the only one in Latin America to bring together innovations and high-level technical content aimed at the entire production chain of the bioenergy industry, as well as professionals from the food and beverage, paper and cellulose, transport and logistics, and energy distribution and trading industries.

The movement is related to China's difficulty in internalizing the approximately 10 million tons of grain that were normally brought from Ukraine, in addition to the incidence of pests in crops that the Asian country has faced.
