The ABAG - Brazilian Agribusiness Association and the B3, the Brazilian stock exchange, promote the 21st Brazilian Agribusiness Congress, on August 1st, in a hybrid format. One of the main events in Brazilian agriculture will feature the participation of experts to address the central theme of Integrate to Strengthen. Registration to participate both in person and virtually is open. To complete your accreditation, simply access the official website.

The theme of the Congress is in line with the invitation that Brazil receives to act strongly in the areas of global food security and decarbonization at a global level. Therefore, the leading role of agribusiness is essential for the country in view of supply expectations and initiatives for environmental conservation and the development of a structured agri-environmental market.

Therefore, the Congress program will cover four strategic issues for the integration and strengthening of Brazil and agribusiness: Geopolitics, Food Security and Interests; Agribusiness: Environment and Markets; Agribusiness: Technology and Information; and Agribusiness: Perspectives 2023/2026.

Geopolitics directly interferes in competitive Brazilian agriculture and, consequently, in the planet's food security. The environment is one of the most relevant topics for investments, markets and society, which is why the sector needs to communicate to the world in an assertive way all the initiatives that are carried out before, inside and after the gate. Technology has been the engine of agricultural productivity, and new solutions have brought strategic information and data to improve production chains. Finally, economic, fiscal, legal and political issues are essential for a thriving agribusiness capable of meeting global food demands.

The 21st Brazilian Agribusiness Congress will begin at 9:00 am, with the opening ceremony to be led by Luiz Carlos Corrêa Carvalho, president of ABAG, and Gilson Finkelsztain, CEO of B3. During the event, ABAG will present the Ney Bittencourt de Araújo Award – Agribusiness Personality to Arnaldo Jardim, Federal Deputy and creator of the Investment Fund for the Agricultural Sector - Fiagro; and the Norman Borlaug Award – Sustainability, to Mariangela Virgínia da Cunha, researcher at Embrapa Soja.

The latest edition of the Brazilian Agribusiness Congress, promoted virtually, brought together more than 8000 participants, an audience made up of businesspeople, sector leaders, public authorities linked to federal, state and municipal governments, several parliamentarians, as well as professionals linked to agriculture.
