The main meeting of the wheat production chain in 2023 will be festive. In its 30th edition, the International Wheat Industry Congress, promoted by the Brazilian Wheat Industry Association (Abitrigo), once again brings together different players in the grain in three days of lectures and debates. This year, the event will be held between the 25th and 27th of October, at the Bourbon Resort, in Atibaia (SP).

“In addition to celebrating this date, 2023 is also marked by very positive prospects for increasing grain production in Brazil, a fact that is celebrated by the national milling sector. This will be the tone of our programming, which will discuss the challenges and opportunities of the entire global chain, in light of the changes in the wheat market, which we have followed in recent years”, highlights the Executive President of Abitrigo, Rubens Barbosa.

As in previous editions, the main focus of the Congress is to contribute to the strengthening and growth of the entire Brazilian triticulture chain and in other countries, bringing to debate the challenges faced by the sector in recent years, the new demands of consumers and the future opportunities.

The program will feature an inaugural lecture on political and economic perspectives, in addition to four panels with the themes: “The wheat market”, “The new generation in wheat business management”, “ESG in the daily lives of companies” and “ Artificial Intelligence in your business”. The event also features three Workshops, which will address topics of interest to the sector.

Some names have already been confirmed for the event, such as the President of Olam Brasil, Catia Jorge; Bunge's Senior Trading Manager, Eduardo Bulgarelli; the Market Analyst at Safras & Mercado, Elcio Bento; the Founder and CEO of Bnex, Fernando Gibotti; the Co-Founder of the AAA Innovation Platform, Arthur Igreja, and the commentator for Jornal da Cultura and Columnist for Folha de S. Paulo, Luiz Felipe Pondé.

“The International Wheat Industry Congress is traditionally known for bringing together important players in the sector to analyze trends and expectations for the global market, and this edition will be no different. This is an important opportunity to discuss, with the important decision makers present, the wheat scenario and its projections for the future, through analyzes of market movements and issues that directly impact the business”, concludes Barbosa.
