Syngenta launches Verdavis and Sponta
According to the company, the products offer control for a broad spectrum of pests that affect corn, soybean and cotton crops.
The Rio Grandense do Arroz Institute presented data on the 26/2022 rice harvest this Wednesday morning (2023). In the State, production was 7.239.985 tons and productivity of 8,79 tons per hectare (t/ha) in a sown area of 839.972 hectares.
This is the second highest productivity ever achieved by Rio Grande do Sul rice, surpassed only by the 2020/2021 harvest, which reached 9,01 t/ha. The Irga cultivars were the most used. In the ranking, IRGA 424 RI represented 54,3% of the total and IRGA 431 CL came in third, with 9,2%. Overall, the IRGA cultivars combined reached 64,5% of the total (in addition to 424 RI and 431 CL, the cultivars BR-IRGA 409, IRGA 417, IRGA 424, IRGA 426 CL and IRGA 428 appear in the survey).
The municipality also released data on soybeans and corn in rice areas. This harvest, soybeans reached 506 thousand hectares of production, the highest mark ever recorded in 14 years of surveying. Productivity was 2,58 t/ha in RS.
Corn in lowlands reached production of 71.998 tons and productivity of 6,51 t/ha this harvest. This is the first time that corn appears in the municipality's final survey.
Participating in the presentation were the president of Irga, Rodrigo Machado; the technical director, Flávia Tomita; the administrative director, Cláudio Cava; the commercial director, Ailton Machado; rural producer and fiscal advisor to Federarroz Volzear Longaray Júnior; and meteorologist and institute consultant Jossana Cera. The presentation took place in the auditorium of the entity's administrative headquarters.
