Technologies for the Field – Management. This will be the theme of the 19th Expoagro Afubra which starts today, March 26th, and runs until Thursday, 28th. The opening, scheduled for 9 am, was attended by the vice-governor of Rio Grande do Sul , delegate Ranolfo Vieira Júnior, as well as federal, state and municipal authorities and leaders linked to the agricultural sector.
According to the general coordinator of the Fair Marco Antonio Dornelles, “the strong change in the world market due to consumer behavior and information technology affects all productive sectors, and the agricultural sector is not left out of the context. Therefore, it is extremely important that producers manage their properties in the best possible way, seeking profitability. This is only possible with good management of all property resources, invested capital, necessary labor, production costs, choice of commercial production activities and property area and marketing. The producer must be prepared through courses, training and, if possible, using technology for this.” Dornelles also highlights that Expoagro Afubra is the place where rural producers can find information to make their property a profitable company.
Family Farming Pavilion
One of the highlights of the opening ceremony of this edition of the fair was the inauguration of the Family Farming Pavilion. The inaugural ribbon cutting was held right after the opening ceremony, next to the Pavilion, implementing the idea of a fixed structure for family agribusinesses.
The pavilion began to become a reality following the announcement – during the launch of Expoagro Afubra 2016 – by federal deputy Heitor Schuch, who obtained the funding through a parliamentary amendment. The pavilion is an agreement signed between the municipality of Rio Pardo and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, which received a transfer in the amount of R$ 926.250,00, plus a counterpart from the municipality, in partnership with Afubra, in the amount of R$40.246,75. The masonry structure is 1.500 square meters and a structure with pyramids will also be built, attached to the pavilion, as 2 thousand square meters of area are needed to accommodate the 112 agribusinesses and 37 exhibitors of crafts, plants and flowers that will participate in this edition of the Expoagro Afubra. For the construction of the stands, there is investment from the State Government, through the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development.
The organizing committee of the Family Farming Pavilion is made up of Afubra, Fetag, Emater/RS-Ascar and the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development.
