16th edition of the Journalism Award breaks registration record

The 16th Journalism Awards, held by Massey Ferguson, closed registration this month with a new record for registered works. Distributed in the Newspaper, Magazine, Multimedia, TV, Photojournalism, Student and South, Central America and Caribbean categories, 774 journalistic contents about agribusiness are competing for the award, an increase of 20% compared to the previous edition.

In this 16th edition, the category that received the most reports was Magazine, followed by Newspaper and TV. The states of São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul and Espírito Santo were those with the most participation from journalists and photographers. Colombia, Argentina and Chile were the countries with the highest number of registrations in the ‘South, Central America and Caribbean’ category, aimed at professionals residing in these regions.

The Journalism Award recognizes the work of professionals who promote agribusiness through journalistic coverage, producing serious and quality information about this sector of global relevance and one of the pillars of the Brazilian economy”, celebrates Rodrigo Junqueira, sales director by Massey Ferguson.

The works will be evaluated by a jury made up of professionals with experience and knowledge in communication and areas related to agribusiness. Finalists will be announced on October 25th on the website www.premiojornalismo.com.br and the winners will be revealed at the awards event in Canoas (RS), in November.

This year, the competition increased the value of the prizes for first place winners by 50%. The big winner in each category will receive R$15, the second will be awarded with a tablet and the third with a smartphone. The winner of the student category will take home R$7, while in the South, Central America and Caribbean category they will be awarded a trip with a companion to Porto de Galinhas (PE).
