Critical factors in sugarcane pest control are addressed by FMC

Control of nematodes and their control tools, the damage caused by the stem borer attack and results from the control of Sphenophorus levis (sugarcane beetle) will be some topics covered at Insectshow, “9th National Seminar on Sugarcane Pest Control -of sugar". The meeting is held on the 24th and 25th of July, at the Ribeirão Preto Convention Center (SP), by Grupo Idea and sponsored by FMC and other companies.

On the first day of the event (24), at 11am, the agronomist and Technical Manager of the Sugarcane crop, Ricardo Werlang and the FMC Commercial Agent, Marcelo Assis, will address the “Critical factors for good insecticide management”. FMC's Market Development Specialist - Sugarcane, Leonardo Brusantin highlighted the importance of the event. “FMC, leader in the sugarcane pesticide market, has invested in the development of products for this segment and Insectshow is the opportunity to present the solutions and benefits that these products bring to the sugarcane producer’s business”, highlights Brusantin.

The company will present insecticide and nematicide lines. “For nematode control, we will present Furadan and Rugby, results in the control of Sphenophorus levis with Talisman and to combat Diatrea efficiently, selectively and with a biological product, Dipel”, highlights Brusantin.
