We were already missing carrying out a test for Cultivar Máquinas magazine and, most importantly, bringing news to readers. After some uncertainty regarding the test location, we decided to explore this new Agrale model in the southern region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, less than 20 kilometers from the border between Brazil and Uruguay. It was interesting to see this manufacturer's effort to offer larger models adapted to a large number of situations in Brazilian agriculture. Traditionally known as a manufacturer of small tractors, Agrale, in one of its units in Caxias do Sul (RS), begins the assembly of a model with more than 200 hp in the engine. It is the largest tractor currently manufactured by Agrale and new plans may be being drawn up to increase the line of large tractors, maintaining the characteristics that Agrale chose for this segment.
This attempt to reach a new audience, which is the medium and large business farmer, once and for all entering into the supply of products for corporate agriculture, must be celebrated. To follow this path, it was noted, even by the brand's dealership that we visited in Arroio Grande, that it was necessary to strengthen the network and further professionalize the sales and marketing area of the company from Rio Grande do Sul.
As we said, the 7215 model is a proposal to continue growing in engine power, while maintaining the brand's characteristics, which are economy, robustness and simplicity of operation. The potential market for this tractor, in this range of power and characteristics, is enormous and can serve everything from medium/large properties of irrigated rice crops in Rio Grande do Sul, to sugar cane in the Southeast and the production of grains and fibers in the Brazilian Center-West.
There are already cases of fleet owners and large farmers who have joined the brand, with important acquisitions. Since its launch, this model has opened up the market in the Central-West and, in just one case, a single farmer from Primavera do Leste (MT) purchased 22 Agrale tractors for his fleet.
Although this model is fully commercialized and the tractor we tested belonged to the customer, it was presented to the dealer network at an event held in mid-2015, and for the general public the launch took place at Expointer 2015. The big news What we noticed, in addition to the great engine power, was the fact that this model is already prepared to receive the precision agriculture system, with potential for autopilot, mainly.
Proof of this change in the market positioning of Agrale and its dealers is that this model, according to information from the Agrale team that accompanied us, was generated from commercial demand among the brand's dealers.
To accompany the teams from the Agricultural Machinery Testing Center and Revista Cultivar Máquinas in the test and provide the means and information necessary to understand the product, Agrale appointed a strong technical team, formed by Fábio Melotto, who is a Marketing analyst Agrale and has been in the Marketing Department for four years, technician Cezar Sassi, who is a technical demonstrator and has been with the company for 33 years, and also Mr. José Antônio Cabrera, who is a commercial assistant, linked to the Agrale Commercial Department for six years.
MOTORIZATION
The tested tractor is equipped with an MWM engine, model Maxx Force 6.0A, supercharged by a turbocharger with intercooler. It has six vertical cylinders with a displaced internal volume of 6.000cm³. Fuel injection is directly into the combustion chamber and carried out by an in-line injection pump, made by Bosch.
The maximum power declared by the engine manufacturer is 158,1kW (215hp) at a speed of 2.300rpm and the maximum torque is 730Nm at 1.500rpm of the engine. The air filtration system is of the conventional type, consisting of two paper elements positioned over the engine, one primary and the other secondary. To cool the engine temperature, three radiators were available, positioned at the front: the water radiator, the air conditioning condenser and the hydraulic system oil radiator, in addition to the intercooler radiator, positioned to take advantage of the air displacement provided. through the front grille of the tractor.
To provide autonomy in work and meet what is expected from a tractor of this size, the manufacturer placed two fuel tanks made of metallic material, one on each side of the driving position, with communication between them and with a total capacity of 460 liters. Fuel is supplied on the right side of the tractor, opposite the operator's entrance.
The crankcase has a capacity for 13,5 liters of lubricating oil, specification 15W40. Agrale uses Agralub brand oil, exclusive to the company and recommends its use in all oil changes.
The engine is surrounded by removable side protections for the moving parts and a large opening tilting hood. This mechanism is a very important item in maintenance, as it allows you to easily carry out periodic maintenance and possible corrective interventions on the engine. Agrale's effort to give the model a new, modern look can be seen, with four round headlights on the hood and work lights at the top of the cabin.
Another important point to be highlighted is the positioning of the exhaust pipe, which is placed behind one of the cabin columns, not interfering with the operator's visibility. The heat cooling system uses coolant in the radiator in the amount of 25 liters.
Regarding pollutant emissions standards, the tested tractor engine does not yet have a control system, but it was reported that the engine supplier is already working to monitor pollutant emissions, complying with Brazilian regulations, which will come into force at from January 2017.
TRANSMISSION AND HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
The transmission of power from the engine to the other elements is mechanical and fully synchronized, with 12 forward and four reverse speeds, which provides a wide range of speeds between 3,5km/h and 29km/h.
