More than 60 models of self-propelled sprayers are offered on the Brazilian market, guaranteeing a wide variety of sizes and configurations, with features to suit all types of crops.
Population growth and, consequently, the greater demand for food, require the primary sector to look for alternatives to boost the productivity of agricultural areas. It is estimated that in 50 years the world population will need 100% more food to meet nutritional demands. In this context, Brazil will be responsible for 40% of the food produced in the world. Of these, only 20% will come from new areas, 10% will come from the efficient use of the system to reduce production losses and 70% will come from new technologies, which will allow for an increase in productivity in already consolidated areas.
As one of the largest producers of grains, fibers and cereals in the world, Brazil also ends up being a large consumer of agrochemicals. According to the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), Brazil uses around 300 thousand tons of pesticides per year. For this reason, the appropriate use of these products is necessary, not only to guarantee the productive potential of Brazilian agricultural areas, but also to preserve the environment in which we live.
Similarly to the technological advances that occurred in genetic improvement, in plant production, in plant health, in the use, management and conservation of soils, there was also the technological advance in agricultural machines and implements, with the use of on-board electronic systems, enabling the carrying out of activities safely, quickly and economically.
To meet the need to apply agrochemicals in agriculture and maintain the plant health of agricultural areas, the agricultural machinery sector was called upon to assist this process with appropriate technology. Agricultural sprayers used to protect crops meet the objective of reaching the biological target and enabling crops to demonstrate their potential productivity in the environment in which they find themselves. Currently, in the Brazilian market there are several types of sprayers, including self-propelled sprayers, as large machines with high technology on board and, as a result, a high operational capacity, which makes it possible to serve large areas with quality spraying.
