Record 2018/2019 harvest saves the Brazilian economy

And here comes the new harvest record in Brazil. Good news given the sadness of the meager GDP growth in 2019, around 1%, or below.

The products with the greatest increase in planted area were second-crop corn (819,2 thousand ha), soybeans (717,4 thousand ha) and cotton (425,5 thousand ha). Soy showed a 2% growth in the planting area, reaching 35,9 million hectares.

We will reach 240,6 million tons of grains, 5,7% more than in the last harvest. If it weren't for the growth of the Brazilian harvest and the positive result, our economic situation would be much more distressing.

In this way, economically speaking, agriculture for the Bolsonaro government is saving it for now. However, so that we can grow Brazilian agribusiness now, we will no longer be able to do so without planning.

We need communication. First, show legal Brazilian agribusiness to internal and external customers. One who does not carry out illegal deforestation, who applies pesticides correctly, who has conservation and sustainable practices in accordance with the state of the scientific art.

Then we will need to fix the imperfections of illegal land registration and improve the great drama of the illegal land crisis in the country. And in parallel to all this, we urgently need a business plan, i.e.  a business plan, like any entrepreneur; from the most micro to the largest in the world needs to be done.

A goal from A to Z, for all Brazilian production chains. Towards one trillion dollars for national agriculture and one billion tons of products in five years; Either we do this or there will be no growth in Brazilian GDP.
