Agribusiness and the female presence

We are in International Women's Week and Wednesday, the 8th, was the world day of this recognition. In agribusiness, women are recognized as having been the creators of agriculture, and have the Goddess Ceres as their symbol. I worked a lot

But as a notable fact in Brazil, last year we had the “1st National Congress of Agribusiness Women”, with around 700 women from 20 Brazilian states participating. This 2017, for the 2nd, the forecast is that we will have double the female presence.

The theme is sufficiently engaging to leverage and motivate this important innovative force in the fundamental changes that Brazilian agribusiness needs: globalized, entrepreneurial and integrated leadership. This means that there is no way out and no future for agribusiness if we do not act with a solid vision of planetary relationships and interconnections, outside of a decisive search for entrepreneurial skills, and also integration. And integration means definitively assuming cooperativism as the soul of agribusiness, and the precision management of its production chains. The recent and ongoing example of antagonism between coffee producers and the coffee processing industry in Brazil represents just one of hundreds of examples of this disconnect.

May Brazilian women in agribusiness come to take a strategic leap within agribusiness! With governance by organized civil society of production chains, or as brilliantly Dr. Anita Gutierrez, from Ceagesp (Companhia de Entrepostos e Armazéns Gerais de São Paulo), has always proposed, with Sectoral Commissions for all agribusiness products. Happy International Women's Week, and let's go to the National Congress of Agribusiness Women!
