Kuhn has just launched new fertilizer and seed distributors from the Accura line, which offer quality and precision in distribution
With more than 30 years of experience in the distribution of fertilizers and seeds, KUHN is strengthening its portfolio. Now, to complete its already established line of products, such as the Accura 1200 and 1600, the new members of the family will be launched at the Rural Coopavel Show, which takes place in Cascavel (PR). The new line of Accura 10000 towed vehicles has mechanical and electronic versions. Also at the Coopavel fair, the new version of the already renowned Accura ST self-propelled fertilizer distributor will be launched, with the new features of its tank chassis entirely made of stainless steel, as well as its platform and handrails. A new Speedservo gate control system and new Trimble TMX 2050 control panel will offer more technology to the producer. All offer simple operations and precise adjustments to minimize fertilizer costs and maximize yields.
TRIANGULAR DISTRIBUTION PROFILE
All models offer a triangular distribution system, ensuring protection against over- or under-dosing, in addition to reducing the harmful effect of wind when applying. These advantages are thanks to the distribution pattern created by KUHN's two-disc fertilizer spreaders.
The triangular distribution pattern provides consistent distribution as it reduces the impact of operating errors or improper adjustments by the operator.
Using this method, the Accura line is able to provide a high precision distribution with a low coefficient of variation.
ACCURA ST
The Accura ST is equipped with an MWM electronic engine, 6.12 TCE series, with six cylinders and a total volume of 7.2 liters, complying with the MAR-I pollutant emission control program. It has a power of 220hp for the 5.000kg model and 260hp for the 7.000kg model. The fuel tank is 300 liters.
The injection system is electronically managed which, in cases of overload, for example, on heavier soil or steeper terrain, activates the Diesel Boost system – a power reserve that comes into action immediately, causing the engine to react quickly. .
The 4x4 hydrostatic transmission system works with two pumps arranged in an “X”, axial wheel motors and 12000 NM wheel reducers.
GO FREE
With a free span of 1,24m in the 7.000kg model and 1,58m in the 5.000kg model, the Accura ST can apply fertilizers to corn in more advanced stages of the crop, enhancing maximum productivity. It comes equipped with IF 380/90 R46” tires for the 7000 model and IF 340/85 R 38” tires for the 5000 model, with an optional IF 380/90 R46” tire.
SUSPENSION/ACCESS
This self-propelled model has active pneumatic suspension, mechanical pre-adjustment of gauges ranging from 2,8 to 3,5 meters, with hydraulic drive. This ensures adaptation to different types of crop spacing. A side platform gives access to the stainless steel reservoir.
RESERVOIR
Stainless steel was the material used to provide total resistance to the severe attack of fertilizers in the two tank versions – five thousand and seven thousand liters. Deflectors installed inside the reservoir allow for relief in product pressure on the conveyor belt. Protection grids prevent the entry of impurities and the fall of hardened product into the reservoir. A tarpaulin that can be manually placed over the reservoir helps prevent the product from being exposed to rain.
CABINS
The cabin offers a high standard of finish and comfort. It has a door with a double sealing system and an internal pressurization system. Access is via the front ladder, which is automatically folded down when the machine moves. The operator's seat has pneumatic suspension with various adjustments and, next to it, there is an auxiliary seat. The cabin also has a distance-adjustable steering column, digital air conditioning and a compressed air gun to facilitate internal cleaning.
DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
The Accura ST is the only one in Brazil that uses the Coaxial distribution system - CDA. Two features make the CDA system unique: 1. Distribution width adjustment system that allows quick adaptation to various fertilizers and working widths, adjusting the fertilizer deposition point for the distribution discs. It is an extremely ergonomic system, which does not require adjusting the disc picks or keys. 2. Gates designed near the center of the discs allow for multiple supply points for the reeds. This helps ensure a steady flow of fertilizer and an even pattern.
It has the exclusive Belt Free System, a free belt, where level sensors guarantee constant feeding to the distribution discs, ensuring that the dosage on the plates is always in accordance with the opening of the dosing gate. This way, the treadmill only works when it is really necessary to feed the control reservoir.
The machine comes with a manual containing several fertilizer tables and an exclusive grain particle size identification guide to enable correct distribution adjustment.
The system is composed of the following parts:
1) Agitator: works with ultra-slow rotation of 17 rpm, to maintain the characteristics of the product, without breaking the fertilizer grain.
2) Sluice: with an exclusive shape, it maintains a uniform flow even at very low doses.
3) Conductive brush: directs the fall of the product, helping to eliminate the influence of wind, in addition to preventing the product from ricocheting.
4) Discs: work at up to 650rpm; Fixed discs facilitate adjustment. There are five disc options: S4: 18m to 28m; S6: 24m to 36m; S8: 30m to 36m; S10: 36m to 40m; S12: 39m to 42m.
5) Transmission box: shaft and gear operate in the oil bath, protected against dust.
6) Distribution ruler: regulates the point at which the product is deposited on the disc, determining the useful working width.
The electromechanical actuator – SpeedServo is used to open the gate and determine the product dose. Works 2,5 times faster than linear actuators, improves reaction time to work with variable rates.
ACCURA 10000 MECHANICAL AND ELECTRONIC
With a stainless steel tank and a capacity of 5000 liters, the Accura 10000 has two configurations: mechanical and electronic. They distribute different fertilizers and correctives, only needing to change their respective distribution kits.
WHEELED
The Accura 10000 model is equipped with a tandem wheelset, steerable on the second wheel and 12,4’ x 24’ tires. It has two gauge options from 1,95m to 2,8m or 1,95m to 3,2m. This model requires a tractor with at least 120 hp to tow it.
DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
The dose of product to be distributed over the discs is determined by the speed of the belt and the opening of the gate. The Accura Hdráulico has two independent pumps, one being responsible for driving the track and the other for rotating the discs. It uses the same Coaxial Distribution Adjustment – CDA distribution system.
The exclusive design of the distribution discs guarantees distribution quality.
The hoses and harnesses are fixed below the main reservoir, easily accessible and protected by the machine structure.
VIRTUAL TERMINAL
The electronic version has a CCI 1200 virtual terminal, with a 12,1“ screen that offers a layout that is easy to operate and handle. To apply the product, the machine uses Dickey-John dispensing software, carrying out the work at a variable rate, which guarantees precise application at different doses.
Furthermore, they come standard with ISOBUS technology. It is possible to directly integrate distribution maps into the terminal and also use ISOBUS systems from John Deere, New Holland, Case, Massey Ferguson, Valtra tractors, as well as terminals from the brands Trimble, Topcon, Raven and others.
ACCURA 1600
With 1.600 liters of capacity, the Accura 1600 stands out for its uniform distribution combined with high reliability. With a robust and functional design, its integrated structure combines welded and assembled components.
The reservoir is made from rotomolded plastic and weighs approximately 350kg. The product distribution range is up to 36 meters. It is the first fertilizer distributor to provide a coefficient of distribution variation within European standards, lower than 12,5%.
It uses the same CDA distribution system, already present in the Accura ST and Accura 10000. With the CDA system, different application rates or travel speeds have no negative effect on the fertilizer.
The gates can be activated in three ways: manual, hydraulic or electrical. In the electrical option, Quantron virtual terminals electronically adjust measurement ports to maintain a consistent flow rate relative to your speed.
During distribution, the system is capable of modifying the application rate, switching individual sections to both sides and closing one side with a simple press of a button on the terminal.
ACCURA 1200
With a capacity of 1.200 liters, the Accura 1200 comes with two reservoir configurations: stainless steel, weighing 260kg, and rotomolded plastic, weighing 240kg. Both have protective screens to prevent impurities from falling into the reservoir, blocking the gates or damaging the agitator. With an exclusive geometry and speed of 180rpm, the agitator provides a regular flow of fertilizers on the distribution discs, prevents breakage, does not damage the granules and does not clog the outlets.
This model has a reinforced transmission box bathed in oil, with a cast crankcase, the agitator shaft is made of treated stainless steel for greater longevity. It does not have a breather plug or contaminant entry. The gates can be activated manually or hydraulically.
The Accura 1200 features MultiDisc System - MDS technology, where the disc blades can be adjusted in their length and angle of action. A single wrench is used to adjust the reed angle and change the disc when necessary. The various adjustment possibilities allow you to vary the distribution width between 12 and 24 meters and calibrate the dosage for the most varied types of fertilizers. Furthermore, it has the Direct Flow Control – DFC system. To change the dose to be applied, simply modify the scale in the same proportion: increasing the scale by 10% increases the applied dosage by 10%.
Coupling to the tractor is done using a three-point hitch. The capacity of the tractor's hydraulic lifting system must fall into Class II – 850kg to 3.565kg.
