Technological transformation in the field has had a direct impact on the profile and demands of the agricultural mechanic profession. Machines equipped with technological packages require highly trained professionals, capable of interpreting complex systems and making precise adjustments to ensure maximum performance in the field. This reality represents a significant change compared to the past, when mechanics dealt mainly with mechanical equipment, which was simpler to operate and repair.
Today, agricultural mechanics have become specialists who are qualified to integrate technology and operational efficiency, with mastery of advanced technologies and the development of skills to understand which adjustments are necessary in each situation. This new professional profile also reflects the entry of young people into the market, attracted by the high technology present in modern agricultural equipment and the ease of handling technological components.
Training has become essential for these professionals to be able to work efficiently. The machinery industry has invested heavily in training and ongoing technical qualification. Massey Ferguson, for example, conducts around 3.000 training sessions per year at its Training Center, based in the state of São Paulo. In addition, instructors also undergo refresher training at AGCO factories in other countries, such as France and the United States, to ensure that the latest technologies are taught and applied correctly.
With the growing digitalization in agribusiness, continuous training ensures the best performance of equipment and positions professionals as fundamental pillars for the evolution of the sector, contributing to productivity and sustainability in the field.
