The Mahindra 8110 Tractor is designed to serve medium-sized producers. Developed for severe applications, it meets the needs of Brazilian producers who are looking for a highly specified tractor, with greater field availability and fuel economy.
The 8110 model is the national version of the 86-110 P tractor, introduced on the Brazilian market in February 2021. A “Premium” tractor, already established in other markets such as Europe. This tractor was developed by Erkunt/ArmaTrac, Mahindra's tractor factory in Turkey.
Model 8110 is equipped with a Perkins 1104-44TA + T3059 (MAR-1) engine, which has four cylinders with a volume of 4,4 liters. The engine produces 110 hp at 2.200 rpm (ISO 14396. Designed to provide high torque at low speeds, resulting in efficiency with low fuel consumption, which guarantees excellent operational performance.
This engine uses a rotary-type mechanical injection pump, ensuring precise fuel distribution during the injection process, which is crucial for the engine to function properly.
An interesting feature of this engine is the direct gas recirculation in its construction, eliminating the need for an external after-treatment system, thus simplifying maintenance and reducing the engine's complexity.
The synchronized mechanical transmission with reverser has 16 forward gears and 16 reverse gears. The transmission system consists of four mechanical gears and two groups, and one-position PowerShift (High and Low).
Gear shift and reverse levers are ergonomically positioned next to the operator's seat. The group selection lever is positioned on the left side of the tractor platform, just below the seat. The reverser, in turn, is used to change the tractor's forward direction (forward and backward) in any pre-selected gear combination. This function is useful in applications that require a lot of maneuvering. The great advantage of this reversal system is that the same forward speed will be used in reverse, ensuring less time and more agility in operations.
Manufactured by Erkunt, a Turkish company belonging to Mahindra, the 4WD front axle has electro-hydraulic activation, via a button, located on the console on the operator's right side and when activating the brake.
The hydraulic system is powered by a triple gear pump, made up of three distinct bodies, each with specific functions. The first body is responsible for feeding the VCR (Remote Control Valve) system and the tractor's lifting system, providing a capacity of 60 liters per minute. Additionally, a dedicated suction filter ensures the purity of the hydraulic fluid.
The second pump body is dedicated to the tractor's steering system, with a capacity of 33 liters per minute. This system operates in a closed circulation loop, providing precise steering control.
The third pump body provides 36 liters per minute and is responsible for feeding the other components of the tractor, such as the traction drive, differential lock, power take-off (TDP) and transmission lubrication. These functions are essential for the proper functioning of the tractor and allow the operation of accessories and implements.
The Mahindra 8110 tractor has a three-point hydraulic system and electronic management, supplied by Bosch, made up of technical components that perform specific functions.
A locking key allows the operator to lock the hydraulic arms to transport equipment to the area to be worked, providing stability during operation. Additionally, the ability to raise and lower hydraulic arms is critical to adjusting the height of farm implements as needed.
The system also has a damping system key, which can be activated or deactivated. This system absorbs shocks and vibrations, improving comfort and stability.
A fault diagnosis light alerts the operator to any problem in the hydraulic system, facilitating diagnosis and proper maintenance.
For precise control, the Mahindra 8110 tractor offers a maximum height selector and an arm lowering speed selector. These features allow the operator to adjust the depth of the agricultural implements and the lowering speed of the hydraulic arms.
Furthermore, indicator lights inform the direction of movement of the hydraulic arms, whether ascending or descending. A depth selector provides greater control over how deep implements are in the ground.
Finally, the sensitivity selector allows the operator to adjust the hydraulic system's response to load variations, ensuring greater precision in agricultural operations. All of these components, although often going unnoticed, play fundamental roles in the Mahindra 8110 tractor's hydraulic system, contributing to the efficiency and precision of field operations.
The remote control system consists of valves and connectors designed to ensure proper hydraulic control. Four valves with eight quick couplers are part of the system, offering options for connecting accessories and hydraulic implements. Two of these valves are dedicated to the third point and the hydraulic leveler, however, after adjusting and leveling the implement, they can be used for other parts of the implement, since the pistons are equipped with a “locking” system. The valves can have ½” ISO type or ½” Flat Face connectors, known for their complete sealing capacity supplied with the tractor in the tool box. Together, these components form a complete and effective hydraulic remote control system, essential for maximizing the efficiency of tractor agricultural operations.
This tractor is equipped with an independent PTO system, that is: the power take-off works independently of the transmission clutch. The system offers six speed options: 430, 540, 750 (540E), 1.000 (750E). It is the only one in the segment with six PTO speed options.
This model is equipped with a hydraulic brake system on the rear wheels. It has a braking assistance system on the front wheels, when the brake pedals are pressed, the auxiliary drive axle is automatically activated.
For the trailer brake, the tractor is equipped with an air compressor (lubricated by engine oil), has compressed air tanks, brake engagement valves, a pressure control gauge, as well as trailer coupling hoses.
In its standard version, the 8110 is equipped with the 14.9-R24 R1 + 18.4-34 R1 tread. Mahindra will make available a few more tire options that are in the final stage of evaluation.
The tractor cabin integrates several features aimed at optimizing the working environment and operator comfort. Ergonomics are prioritized, with a complete digital dashboard and retractable steering. To protect against external elements, the cabin has a retractable curtain for sun protection and a filtration system with activated carbon and positive pressure to ensure internal air quality.
Entertainment and connectivity features include an MP3 radio system with auxiliary inputs, USB and memory card support. Thermal control is provided by high-capacity digital air conditioning, also capable of heating the environment. A compressed air outlet allows internal cleaning.
The cab is designed with low noise and vibration, providing a quieter working environment. The operator's seat is covered in fabric, and a folding auxiliary seat provides additional space when needed. The cabin suspension is made up of front cushions and rear air pockets, helping to absorb impacts and vibrations on uneven terrain. In short, the tractor cab is a space designed to improve operator efficiency and comfort.
The cabin lighting system has two halogen headlights on the hood, two daytime running LEDs on the hood, two side working LED headlights, two front upper working LED headlights, two rear upper working LED headlights, some giroflex driven by a integrated digital control center and switch for direction indicator lights and headlights
The 8110 features a tool box with essential items for maintenance and repairs, including a grease gun, trailer electrical outlet, brake hoses, tire air hose, quick couplers, combination wrenches, combination tire wrenches and wrench lever. wheel. These tools are designed to ensure operational efficiency, safety and proper tractor maintenance, ranging from lubricating moving parts to cleaning and quick repairs.
