Kuhn is introducing the Arbo Mãozinha, a sprayer designed to meet the needs of fruit producers seeking efficiency and precision in the application of agricultural pesticides. This equipment stands out for its advanced technology and innovative design, ensuring efficient and waste-free spraying.
With reduced drift and more precise application, there is less chemical waste, which reduces environmental impact and risks to human and animal health.
In the conventional model, the turbine is at a fixed point, either in the center of the street, with different distances for the wind to reach the target. Not to mention external difficulties such as wind, gravity, and spray volume, for example, which further hinder successful application, hence the need to use high flow rates. Near the machine, it is easy to propel the drop, but problems usually appear at the base or in the canopy of the plants. And that is why Mãozinha was created, to deliver a perfect spray curtain, which allows a series of adjustments to its tower, including approaching the target equally throughout the plant, at the same distance, with the same air volume, the same flow rate, and uniform distribution of drops, providing better use of the mixture and allowing for even lower concentrations.
The Arbo Mãozinha is equipped with a centrifugal turbine, whose air production occurs through the rotor and snail assembly, thus producing clean air, without dirt or debris particles, which can be sucked in by the turbine and thrown at the target, especially when dealing with crops with sensitive fruits or leaves, such as tomatoes, papaya, grapes, among others, which consequently can suffer damage and be the gateway for new diseases.
The Mãozinha sprayer has an air channeling system, through specific ducts distributed along a tower, providing uniformity in the spray curtain and the correct deposition of the product on the target. This targeted ventilation system minimizes losses due to drift or evaporation, providing better use.
And above these ducts, the famous “little hand” appears, which really has the shape of a hand, but now with a new design, which provides more efficiency in applications.
Another important point is the spray outlet, which is integrated with the air outlet, gaining more strength and direction, avoiding the collision of drops that could compromise the quality of the drop (volumetric diameter).
One of the main features of the Arbo Mãozinha is its ability to adapt to different plant architectures and stages. The ventilation directors, known as “little hands”, can be adjusted to different configurations, allowing precise spraying in the most diverse crops, such as vineyards, orchards and coffee plantations.
The Mãozinha sprayer has two tower versions, either the trellis model, for crops in horizontal conduction (more common in grapes), where the hands are positioned upwards, or the espalier model, recommended for crops with vertical plant development, where the hands are positioned to the side. It is also possible to vary the combinations of these two versions, which further improve the spraying performance. There are several adjustment possibilities for them, such as approaching the target, by moving the supports, or adjusting the inclination, which allows better focus on the target.
These little hands can respond directly to the command action with the operator (on the electrical panel) or be manually turned off one by one, depending on the stage of development of the crop, thus allowing the use of this equipment from the initial stage to the adult phase.
In addition to the tower options, it is possible to make choices regarding the type of control, whether manual or electric, which contribute to day-to-day operations in the field, regardless of the model, both with the best features on the market, always with the best possible resistance.
With the intense workload of these machines, other options come into play, such as a spray pump, which is also one of the most important components, as it moves all the liquid from the tank to the nozzles. Thus, it is possible to find two types of pump, either piston (traditionally known in the market for its simplicity and ease of repair) or the membrane model, which has had some distortions in its history in Brazil, but today breaks barriers due to its high resistance to this intense field work, presenting excellent pressures and response in any type of mixture, including the densest powder-based solutions.
Built with high-resistance materials, the Arbo Mãozinha has a modular chassis that facilitates maintenance and extends the equipment's useful life, with two finishing options, either powder coated or hot-dip galvanized, which guarantees much greater resistance to the action of chemicals.
The entire line of fruit sprayers produced by Kuhn uses an amplifier box system for turbine transmission, which significantly reduces the effort required by the tractor and its diesel consumption. It also makes maintenance easier, as it only requires an oil change. The machine is completely free of belts and pulleys. This box, in turn, is made up of gears, which means it has two rotation speeds for the rotor, allowing it to be further adjusted to the leaf mass conditions, from the less dense leaf phase to the heavier leaf phase.
Kuhn's Arbo Mãozinha is a great option for farmers looking for a robust, efficient and versatile sprayer. With its advanced technology and precision-focused design, this equipment ensures effective application of agricultural pesticides, promoting plant health and crop productivity.
