1. Brazil's global leadership in the sugarcane market was maintained. In total, 620,8 million tons of sugar and ethanol were produced during the 2018/2019 Harvest Year. The volume of ethanol exported was 1.773.694 m³, while sugar was 19.857.417 million tons (Source: UNICA);
2. Sugarcane cultivation is more mechanized. The estimate is that during the 2019/2020 Harvest Year, operations will be 92% mechanized. For comparison purposes, during the 2007/2008 Harvest Year, the rate was 24,4%. (Source: Conab);
3. The company's line of tractors for sugarcane farmers was completed in 2019, with the launches of Valtra BH214 HiTech and BH224 HiTech (210 hp and 220 hp), which are the evolution of the BH194 HiTech.
4. Sugarcane fields are younger and more productive. 13,5% of them were renewed in 2019, pointing to the highest renewal rate since 2015. (Source: CTC)
